WHO MAKES MC’S BEATS?
Primarily, I work with producer Andew Futral of the Brooklyn band Field Mouse. Andrew has produced music for me on three albums and 4 EP’s. Andrew also helps me with little jobs for Kevin Smith or Adult Swim and he’s already made tons of music for the mc chris cartoon. WHO IS THE VOICE OF THE GUY IN ALL THE SKITS WITH MC CHRIS?
His name is JOHN GEMBERLING. mc and John met at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater around the year 2000. John had his own Adult Swim series Fat Guy Stuck in Internet. And you’ve also seen him in The Heart She Holler, Ugly Americans, NTSF:SD:SUV, Robotomy, Delocated, Children’s Hospital, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Human Giant and Todd Solondz’ Palidromes. WHO DRAWS MC CHRIS’ ART?
His name is NATE BELLEGARDE. He’s an amazing comic book artist and you’ve seen his stuff in books like Invincible Presents: Atom Eve, Hack/Slash: Slice Hard, and Brit. mc and Nate met when Walking Dead’s Robert Kirkman sent Nate over to relay a message that Kirkman was an mc chris fan. mc saw that Nate had a sketchbook and checked it out and was like, WILL DRAW FOR ME?! and right away nate started making posters and t-shirts designs, stickers and skateboards. mc and nate have always dreamed of combining their talents and having a cartoon of their own and that has always been the goal since they met around 2006. His name is ERIC SOLOMAN. Eric runs a company called NIGHT OWL’S PRINT SHOP based out of Houston, TX. WHO IS THE GIRL THAT SINGS ON MULTIPLE MC CHRIS SONGS?
Her name is HALLIE BULLEIT Hallie is an amazing New York City singer/actress that leads the band the Unlovables. You may have heard them in an ad or two on adult swim. Hallie has starred in real deal New York shows like Rent and La Fuerza Bruta. Now she hits up places like SXSW and Bonnaroo with The Chris Gethard Show in the house band, Lost Locker Combo. Hallie lives in Brooklyn, NY.
WHO ARE THE OTHER GUYS IN THE SKITS?
The first couple were from the UCB improv group Monkey Dick. The group has become many different things. Now it is known as Death By Roo Roo and exists on both coasts. Here are the folks you’ve been hearing:
ANDY ROCCO (rocco) Andy has starred in a bunch of NYC commercials and you’ll recognize him from Fat Guy Stuck in Internet where he played a variety of beings. He now hosts a podcast called Here to Help. Andy lives in Queens, NY.
MATT DECOSTER (jimmy stewart) Matt stars in a variety of independent New York City projects. He’s become quite a legend at the UCB, even having a Harold Team named after him. CURTIS GWINN (sawyer’s gun stash etc, tony kopek) Curtis was Gemberling’s comedy partner for a while and together they created and starred in Fat Guy Stuck in Internet. Check out the original pilot at channel 101 where it got its start. Curtis has worked all over the place: the Onion News Network, Comedy Central, MTV and of course, adult swim. CHRIS GETHARD (darth dudical) Chris Gethard has his own public access show now in NYC which has a global following. P Diddy has visited his show. He traveled across the country. And most recently, he hitchhikes to Bonnaroo. All for his show which he films every week whether he has an idea or not. check it out at thechrisgethardshow.com. Chris has also had his own Will Ferrell and Adam McKay series on Comedy Central called Big Lake. He starred in films like the Other Guys and The Dictator and tv shows like Louie and Bored to Death. JOHN ROSS BOWIE (himself) John was the guy that got mc chris started in improv. His band Egghead was on the same label as his college buddies Dirt Bike Annie. After seeing John in a show with his group, Naked Babies, mc was hooked on improv. And long story short, because of the connections made at ucb mc was able to eventually get on Adult Swim and be mc chris. so John really is responsible, if you’re looking for someone to beat up. Now John is on The Big Bang Theory as the villain so it doesn’t get much bigger than that. You’ve seen him on LOTS of things: Road Trip, CSI, Charmed, Arrested Development, Monk, Reno 911!, Wizards of Waverly Place, He’s Just Not That Into You, Family Guy, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Glee, Children’s Hospital, Bones and Happy Endings. PAT BAER (wizard) Pat is the head tech at the new UCB theater in the East Village of New york City. He’s also one of the nicest nerds in New York and he’s always willing to chat it up and make you feel like you belong. He also occasionally manages the UCB in Chelsea. ANDREA ROSEN (satan’s secretary) Andrea’s most famous for her yogurt that tastes like desert commercials, but she’s a legend in the NYC comedy circuit. She’s a member of the all female comedy group Variety Shac and has been involved with lots of projects that involve the comedy troupe the State like The Ten, Michael and Michael and Wainy Days. TODD HANSON (race wars announcer) Todd is most famous for his fake articles in The Onion which he has worked on since the very beginning as a writer and editor. JESSE FALCON (concession clerk) Jesse is a veteran of the UCB and one of the ultimate geeks in the NYC comedy scene. So much so he works for Marvel, doing things we can’t even talk about. He’s been in Celebrity Death Match and Fat Guy Stuck in Internet. Jesse lives in Los Angeles, CA.
JULIE KLAUSNER (herzog’s mom) Julie’s got a lot more going on than her weekly podcast How was your Week. She wrote a book for Gotham/Penguin called I Don’t Care about Your Band and the book’s been optioned by Adam McKay and Will Ferrel with Lizzy Caplan attached to star and co-produce. And her new project Appocalipstick has been picked up by NBC with her acting as writer and Executive Producer. She’s also been on Ugly Americans, Delocated and Freak Show. GLENNIS MCMURRAY (farmer’s daughter) Glennis founded G.L.O.C. The Gorgeous Ladies of Comedy in NYC. GLOC gives ladies in the comedy industry a chance to connect and support each other. MEGAN NEURINGER (girl marhsmellow) Megan’s been on Strangers with Candy, Delocated, Flight of the Conchords and Fringe! Megan is also a writer and has written for pretty much everybody including Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. DAVE WILLIS (bum) is best known for his show Aqua Teen Hunger Force that he is co-creator, co-writer and co-director of. He also voices Carl, Meatwad and produces Squidbillies as well. He was producer of Space Ghost in its most brilliant years and also lent a hand on Sealab and Perfect Hair Forever as producer. Dave is also the guy that discovered mc in a bar in New York and handed him a business card with Space Ghost on it. He said, “We could use someone like you.” And they did. Dave introduced mc to Adam Reed who brought him on board Sealab. Currently, Dave is tinkering on his live action Adult Swim series, Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell which mc is in by the way. GEORGE LOWE (GTFO announcer) George is best known for being the voice of Space Ghost. He’s made cameos on just about every Adult Swim show. He’s voiced a million different things over the years not just for Cartoon Network. You’ve probably heard Space Ghost come out of your radio or TV when you least expect it, selling Fried Chicken or Tires. He recently did a series of Lego commercials which is about as awesome as it gets.
